This is the first edition of this publication which presents a comprehensive collection of data on consumption patterns in the EU, including spending patterns, prices, consumption habits, consumer attitudes and quality indicators, as well as providing details of European policy initiatives. The data has been taken from various sources including Eurostat and other surveys, and has been compiled using the COICOP (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose) classification.
